The following three institutions are governed by the Addis Ababa city Women’s Association providing services in line with its programs

Temporary Shelter for GBV survivors
Aiming at rehabilitation of GBV survivors from the trauma they suffered, protection of their rights and to enable them for peaceful (violence free) future life, the association is providing temporary shelter service since 2015.

Services provided: lodging, food, medical, legal support, psychosocial support and therapy, sanitation, trainings, re-integration/re-unification – Right based approach

Beneficiaries served to date;

More than 1126 survivors benefited among whom 39 are male children

One acid attack case referred to USA for treatment

Legal support: More than 37 perpetrators sentenced from 3 - 25 years imprisonment

Seven orphan children being assisted in the shelter (attending school)

Re-unification: 874 beneficiaries re-unified with their families in different regions

Re-integration: 105 beneficiaries offered with skill training, business startup loan service and engaged in self-employment

Saving and Credit cooperative
Aiming at creating an easy access for financial service, AAWA has established a Saving & Credit cooperative and is providing financial service since Jan 2017. To date, 5734+ members saving 5 Mln+, 1048 benefited with 11.9 Mln+ loan service

Economic Empowerment: Enhancing Self-employment through provision of Skill training, financial service and engagement in sustainable self - employment.

Skill training: In partnership with government and NGO organizations providing skill training.

Saving & Credit cooperative: Providing financial service along with enhancing saving culture.

Pre – Primary Education
The association is providing Pre – Primary education from resource poor families and orphan (OVC) in its three pre – primary schools in the city. In the last three years alone, 291 children from resource poor families and 193 orphans have benefited from the service
